Hirofumi Nakagami
Hirofumi Nakagami received an Msc degree at Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Osaka University, Japan, in 1997 and a PhD degree at Nara Institute of Science and Technology (NAIST), Japan, in 2000. From 2000 he worked as a post-doc in Heribert Hirt Lab at Vienna University, Austria, to study plant MAP kinase signalling pathways. In 2006 he joined Plant Immunity Research Group (Ken Shirasu Lab) at RIKEN Plant Science Center, Japan, as a researcher, where he started to work on proteomics to understand plant immune signalling networks. He became a unit leader of Plant Proteomics Research Unit at RIKEN, Japan, in 2010 and then moved to Max Planck Institute for Plant Breeding Research, Germany, in 2016 as a group leader of Basic Immune System of Plants / Protein Mass Spectrometry. His group is interested in describing fundamental protein networks of plant immune system by employing proteomic approaches.
